We love this traditional winter landscape which is a fine example of the more impressionistic work he produced in his latter years. The artist particularly favoured atmospheric scenes capturing late afternoon sunshine or dusk.
This oil is typical of the 19th and 20th century British and European works held by Burlington Paintings. Major subjects featured are landscape, marine, still life, sporting, animal and topographical paintings.
