CREATE A WHOLE NEW WORLD IN THE GARDEN

Thanks to intrepid plant hunters of years gone by, flora from across the world can be found in Britain's gardens. With careful choice of site and soil conditions, plants from climates very different to our own can be successfully grown. The best places to go for advice are the specialist nurseries and long-established garden centres. Staff know which plant groups are best for creating themed areas such as bog gardens, prairies, tropical corners or a particular feature that might have been suggested by your garden designer. Some offer a service to track down a particularly unusual plant. Others specialise in mature trees or shrubs, that can have such instant impact in a garden.

Choosing the plants for flower beds and watching them bloom is a delight. To keep non-hardy varieties through the winter, you will need to invest in a greenhouse.
Even with the advent of paved and gravel Mediterranean- style gardens, grass is still the biggest feature in all but the smallest of Britain's gardens. A well kept lawn makes all the difference to the overall appearance of a garden. Cutting it is less of a chore with our Uber selection of lawnmowers. The ride-on machines will easily tackle the long grass of a wildflower area after it has been left to seed.
