Have a soak, clean your skin with deluxe body washes and shower creams (avoid oily products, their properties will encourage unwanted patch tan lines).

Get specific products (daily tans, face tans, all-over tanning milks etc) for specific areas and gently and smoothly apply to the skin in consistent smooth motions with a mitt or gloves. (If you are tanning your arms don’t forget to do your hands at the end.) Take your time! You want to work the tan in relatively quickly but don’t rush.

Let it dry, (mousses will usually dry faster than creams or lotions) try not to get wet/ sweat or wear restricting clothing for at least 6 hours after.
